Annuals are a great addition to any garden because they can bring color and life at any time of the year. As a single plant or in a mass planting, the color that they bring can be found in few other places.

General Information

An annual plant or annual is a plant that usually germinates from seed, flowers and dies in one year. Annuals that we carry have been grown from seed or cuttings and are perfectly ready for your garden.

In gardening, annual often refers to a plant grown outdoors in the spring and summer and surviving for one growing season. Many food plants are, or are grown in the Pacific Northwest as, annuals. Some perennials and biennials are grown in gardens as annuals, particularly if they are not considered cold hardy for the local climate. Tomato, sweet potato, and bell pepper are tender perennials usually grown as annuals.
