ROSE PRUNING AND CARE
Members of the Puyallup Rose Society will demonstrate how to properly prune and care for roses so that you will have maximum blooms this summer. They will also be available to answer any of your rose questions and help you pick out the perfect rose for your garden.

VEGETABLE GARDENING IN THE DRIZZLY NW
Gardener Cyndi Stuart will provide tips and tricks for growing vegetables in the challenging environment of the Pacific Northwest. Our wet, mild climate has many advantages but also several disadvantages. With over 20 years of gardening experience, Cyndi is able to help both beginning and experienced gardeners work with our climate with fantastic results. Find out how to work with Mother Nature so she doesn't work against you.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR BACKYARD A BIRD SANCTUARY
Encouraging songbirds and hummingbirds to call your yard their home can be easy if you just know how. Learn the basics of providing plants for shelter, feeders, water sources and nesting boxes. Nita will share all the basics needed to bring the sounds and colors of birds to your garden.

LAWN CARE BASICS
Learn how you can have the best looking lawn in your neighborhood and only have to mow it half as often as your neighbors. Steve will go over the basic steps to rid your lawn of moss, how to deal with lawn diseases and pests and how to condition your lawn to require less watering.

BACK YARD ORCHARDS
Even the smallest yard can enjoy fruiting trees as part of the landscape. Backyard orchard culture is very different than what is practiced in large farms east of the mountains. Steve will go over the basics of planting your trees in limited space, pruning and yearly care. You can do this!
