This has been a perfect spring…if you are a slug or bug! Our mild winter and cool, wet spring have created a perfect breeding ground for slugs, aphids, and a few other garden pests.  Before you go out to destroy the entire insect world there are a few things that you need to know.

Good bugs in the garden outnumber the bad bugs at least 4 to 1.  Most insects in our gardens are friends and not enemies.   Destroying too many bugs can lead to greater problems because the bad bugs will have less enemies.

At  Branches we have natural pest controls for aphids, crane flies, root weevils, as well as organic products to deal with the bad bugs in a safe way.

We also have a wide selection of products to deal with those hungry slugs.  We have organic slug bait (for use when children and pets are sharing the garden), organic spray for the vegetable garden, and also the tried and true meals that will kill hundreds in a single night.
